Al McGregor is an author specializing in historical fiction. His recent books include A Porous Border, To Build a Northern Nation, and 1917. Each title is based on extensive research in an attempt to shed new light on often forgotten Canadian history.
He has also produced a series of video documentaries on early south western Ontario and is a former television news anchor. His long broadcast career took him to newsrooms across the province in Ottawa, Kingston, Windsor and Stratford but he may be best remembered locally as an anchor of the evening news on CFPL-TV in London.
Al is a product of rural Elgin County where he lives today.
