Research Assistance

Society Research Policy

Research requests are welcomed. Send requests either by our Contact Form, e-mail or regular mail. Do not send payment with your original request. A volunteer researcher will be assigned and will be in contact re the cost of the research. The results of the research will be sent after payment has been received by the Society.

Research Fees

Minor in-house research  $10.00
Minor research consists of our volunteers spending a minimum 2 hours looking for information in our Heritage Room. This does not include the cost of shipping, scanning or sending the information.

Major in-house research  $25.00
This occurs when our volunteer spends up to five hours researching names and events. This fee does not include expenses such as scanning, copying or shipping of the research.

Major Research outside the Heritage Room $50.00 
Major research occurs when the researcher needs to visit the Land Registry Office, London Room at the Central Library or any other research facility.

Scanning

The Society has the capability to scan books or any documents up to 23″ x 26″.

Set Up fee. $10.00
The page cost for the scanning of an article, scrapbook articles, obituaries, or any pages from books in our library. .25/page

Special pricing will be considered on larger scanning projects.

Payments will be received by Cheques in Canadian funds or Pay Pal.
